Biology Labs Online

Biology Labs Online uses java which is no longer supported by the Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge browsers. Please open the site in Internet Explorer under Windows and activate java to access the labs.

Biology Labs Online is a series of interactive, inquiry-based biology simulations and exercises designed for college and AP high school biology students.

Since most browsers have dropped support for Java, these legacy applets will only run on Internet Explorer for Windows. Java is no longer supported by current versions of the other popular web browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera). Java will not run on up-to-date Mac computers.

If you are an instructor, you can request access to the instructor resources by sending an email to BLOL "at" ScienceCourseware "dot" org, preferably using your institutional email account. Please include your name and the name of your school, college, or organization in the message. Upon review, a user name and password will be sent to you, usually within 24 hours. Thank you!
